Courtyard Gallery is located in
the waterfront town of
LaConner, Washington
which is just a one hour drive north
of Seattle.
The following directions will get
you there by car or by boat.
By Highway:
Interstate 5 runs north and south throughout Skagit County.
To reach LaConner you can exit at Hwy. 20 and head west. Turn left
at LaConner-Whitney Rd. and follow the signs into town.
Or, turn off I-5 at Exit 221 and head west on Fir
Island Rd. Once you cross over the south fork of the Skagit River,
you'll want to turn right on Chillberg road a winding country road that
will give you a good tour of the local farming community. Chilberg
will lead you straight into town via Morris St. Click
here for a map.
By Boat:
Transient moorage is available in LaConner Look
for information signs on individual docks or head into the LaConner Marina
just north of town. There is also a public boat launch on the Swinomish
Channel, just underneath the Rainbow Bridge, and one north of town just
under the Berentsone (Hwy. 20) bridge.
Pleasure boaters beware! The Channel's sometimes
strong tidal flows (which may churn in excess of 10 knots) may require
forethought and planned maneuvering before docking.
There are two boat basins located just north of
town and public boat launches on either end of the Channel. Limited
transient moorage allows pleasure boaters to tie up right downtown, making
LaConner a true cruising destination.
LaConner has a multitude of marine service businesses. Because
the town is within walking distance, small boaters can tie up and easily
seek out the services they require.
