Two hands - one tiny and soft, the other large and worn - are clasped
in a gesture of tender affection.
With utter faith, the young look to their elders to help them through
the perils of growing up.
Whether parent, grandparent, teacher or friend, it is the task of those
who have gone before to pave
the way into the future.
This sculpture was inspired by a photograph by Jerry Gay. Jerry is a
long time resident of our town (LaConner)
and has recently released a book of photographs titled "Everyone
Has a Life to Live"
that are very thought provoking.
