Shown here are several pictures of the Mark Hopkins bronze foundry....
This will show you just how involved the process is to create each
bronze
after Mark has done the initial sculpting.
This photo shows the sculpture "Faith" in the wax state
(foundry workers are a happy bunch!)
This is a mold that the wax has been poured into.
A foundry worker pours the wax into a mold....
these molds can only be used a few
times before they have to be tossed out.

"Daybreak"
This piece is cast in more than one piece and then welded together.
This mold is hanging upside down getting ready for the bronze to be
poured into it.
Maybe you can make out the figure....its the two giraffes..."Little
One"
Bronze work is a messy job....this is the room that the bronze is poured
into the molds.
Raw bronze material before its melted.
Here are some of the sculptures waiting for the patina stage.
This is the sandblasting machine that each piece goes through before
it gets to the patina stage...
each piece is sandblasted by hand.
This is a patina station. The color is applied to each bronze in this
area.
Here are some pieces that have just had the patina applied.
Notice the bull in the back left.....its waiting to get the color applied.
Heat and chemicals make up the color for each sculpture.
It is a fine art all in itself to apply these colors.
This picture shows the life size Hangin Around sculpture....
the welders have just put this one together. It still has several days
of work before its completed.

Each sculpture goes through a final inspection before they are professionally
packaged and sent out to the collector.
These jugs contain a formula that is sprayed in the shipping box creating
a perfect form fitted foam package.
This ensures your sculpture will arrive safe and sound.
