Born into poverty, he had the chance to rise above. He was termed a "fool" or a "jester".
He wore colorful costumes of many styles with a close fitting cap. Sometimes he had long, pointed shoes with dangling
bells that tinkled as he danced. He enjoyed close relationships with nobility and kings, either as an entertainer or as a very clever advisor.
His utterances were intended to be taken as mockery or humour rather than literal truth. If he failed to bring joy, his fate was lost.

While peering into the pool of water, it gave him time to reflect on his life.
He sees beyond the colorful costume and his fantasy of playacting and realizes that he lives two lives.
One life is of fantasy and feelings that lead to a very shallow and superficial existence.
The other one is the realization that life is filled with hardships and the day-to-day struggle to survive.
When reality enters your life, you realize that absolutes are what rule the world...not feelings.
